Calm and Connected

Calm and Connected: A Gentle Nervous System Reset is a two-hour restorative session led by Maya of Myllr Modern Healing.


Combining Spinal Energetics and Reiki, this experience offers a quiet, supportive space to pause, soften and allow the body to release tension. You’ll be invited to rest comfortably with blankets while gentle energy work supports the nervous system to settle and rebalance.


Suitable for both those new to energy work and those already familiar with it, this session is simply an opportunity to slow down and be held in a calm group environment.

Wild Rest Afternoons - Wild Sauna and Sound

Wild Rest Afternoons - Wild Sauna and Sound

Sunday 12th April

1pm - 5pm


An intimate, fully hosted experience combining wild sauna and hot tub, a seasonal shared table and a deeply restorative cacao and sound bath.


Begin in the elements with heat and open air, return to The Barn for generous, locally sourced food including buffalo blue cheese from our neighbouring herd, and close the afternoon with warming cacao and immersive sound.


Limited to eight guests. Designed to steady your nervous system and leave you feeling nourished, grounded and quietly restored.

Every Thursday For Six Weeks 


This six-week Chair Yoga course offers a gentle and accessible way to improve mobility, strength and confidence in movement. Designed for those who may find traditional exercise classes challenging, sessions take place seated or with the support of a chair, making them suitable for older adults, those recovering from illness or injury, or anyone managing conditions such as fibromyalgia.
Each week focuses on a different area of the body, gradually building flexibility, balance and coordination in a safe and supportive environment. The course includes breathing exercises, gentle mobility work and simple strengthening movements, finishing with relaxation to help the body settle.

Using insights from psychology and nervous-system science, the session explores emotional regulation, boundary awareness, assertive communication, people pleasing, handing criticism and conflict management alongside practical strategies for supporting mental and emotional load at home, at work, and in relationships.

Facilitated by Integrated Health & Wellbeing Lead Kate Robbins, this small-group retreat combines evidence-informed learning with gentle body-based practices, reflection, and discussion. You’ll leave with practical tools and a stronger sense of self-trust when navigating everyday pressures.

A gentle introduction to The Barn
If you're curious about The Barn but haven’t visited yet, Slow Sunday is the perfect place to start.


Designed as a relaxed introduction to the space, this calm afternoon gives you the chance to experience The Barn without committing to a full retreat day.


We’ll begin with restorative yoga, a slow, supported practice designed to release tension and allow the body to fully relax. This session is suitable for all fitness levels and experience so you'll never feel out your depth.


Afterwards you’ll settle under blankets for an immersive sound bath, letting the vibrations of the bowls guide the mind into a deeply restful state.


We’ll then gather around the table for a locally sourced, seasonal shared lunch with fresh juices, giving you time to chat, unwind, and simply enjoy the peaceful countryside setting.


There’s no pressure, no experience needed, and everything is gently guided. Many guests come on their own, others bring a friend.


It’s simply a chance to step away from the busyness of the week and come and experience what's on offer at The Barn.

The Sleep Retreat is a calming half-day experience designed to help you understand why sleep can become disrupted and how to gently restore it. Blending modern sleep science with restorative movement, breathwork, and guided relaxation, this retreat supports nervous system regulation and deep rest.


You’ll explore how stress, circadian rhythms, and lifestyle factors influence sleep, learn practical techniques to quiet the mind and body, and leave with simple tools you can use at home. This is not about quick fixes or pressure to “sleep better,” but about creating safety, balance, and the conditions for natural, restorative sleep.


Optional add-on: a 30-minute specialist sleep focused massage available exclusively at The Barn.

Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi and our love for sustainable living, Repair & Restore is a three-hour workshop centred on slow, mindful mending.

Through guided ceramic repair, you’ll rest your mind by engaging your hands, allowing creativity to become a form of active rest. Ideal for anyone who struggles to slow down.

The session includes locally sourced grazing boards and an opportunity to simply enjoy the space.

If you've been dreaming about coming to one of our Nervous System Rest Days but can't get time off in the week then this Weekend Rest Day is perfect for you.


The Weekend Rest offers a carefully structured blend of movement, therapeutic treatment and guided regulation, giving your body and mind the time they rarely receive in daily life.

You are guided gently from one session to the next, with space built in to rest, eat well and properly switch off.

This one-day retreat offers a calm space to step back, understand what burnout is and explore practical ways to begin rebuilding your energy. Throughout the day we will look at the science behind burnout, the impact of prolonged stress on the nervous system, and simple strategies that can support recovery.


The day combines guided discussion, reflective workbook exercises and gentle restorative practices. We finish with a deeply relaxing sound bath to help the body settle and integrate the day.


Each guest receives a printed workbook to take home. Includes lunch and refreshments.
