Our Fibromyalgia Respite Retreats are designed to provide both rest and understanding — combining the latest insights into Fibromyalgia science with practical, evidence-informed self-care.
Each retreat offers a gentle mix of guided meditation, breathwork, restorative movement, and education around topics such as neuroplastic pain, pain reprocessing theory, and stress management. Guests leave feeling calmer, more informed, and equipped with new tools to support everyday wellbeing.

Each retreat blends relaxation, gentle movement, and mind-body education — designed to empower you with knowledge and skills you can use every day.

Our Fibromyalgia Respite Retreats take place throughout the year at carefully chosen venues across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and online offering calm, welcoming spaces to rest and recharge.
Retreats held at The Barn Wellbeing Centre in Brailes include the option to add a specialist 30-minute Fibromyalgia massage, designed to support relaxation and ease tension. (This option is exclusive to retreats at The Barn.)

Your Fibromyalgia Retreat will be guided by Kate Robbins, Integrated Health & Wellbeing Lead at The Barn.
Kate combines a strong clinical background with a compassionate, holistic approach to wellbeing. With over a decade of experience supporting clients living with chronic pain and fatigue, she blends evidence-based techniques with genuine understanding to create a nurturing, restorative experience.
Trained in mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and health coaching — and holding an Advanced Certificate in Coaching for Fibromyalgia — Kate helps clients develop practical tools for resilience, energy, and self-care.
Her approach is warm, grounded, and empowering, helping you reconnect with your body and begin to restore balance.

Our Specialist Fibromyalgia Retreats offer a deeper look into specific areas of Fibromyalgia wellbeing — from gut health to emotional resilience, sleep, and gentle movement.
Hosted by Kate Robbins, Lead Remedial Therapist and Wellness Coach, and supported by a small team of trusted specialists and guest facilitators, each session blends evidence-based education with practical, nurturing tools you can take home and use straight away.

When you live with ongoing pain and fatigue, emotional strain often follows. This retreat focuses on building the inner resilience that helps you navigate difficult days with greater calm and confidence.
Together, we’ll explore mindset tools drawn from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT), and mindfulness-based stress reduction. You’ll learn how to identify unhelpful thought patterns, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate a kinder, more compassionate relationship with your body.
Expect a blend of short guided practices, supportive discussion, and practical self-coaching techniques to take home.

Movement can be one of the most powerful yet misunderstood tools for Fibromyalgia management. In this retreat, we’ll gently re-introduce the body to motion in a safe, nurturing way — focused on mobility, circulation, and nervous-system regulation rather than “exercise.”
You’ll experience slow, mindful stretching, breath-led mobility, and simple somatic movements that can easily be repeated at home. We’ll discuss how to listen to your body’s cues, avoid flare-ups, and rebuild confidence in your ability to move without fear of pain.
