Our Signature Wellbeing Retreats are immersive full-day experiences designed around something we rarely give ourselves enough of: time.
Time to slow down. Time to explore something different. Time to rest, move, learn, create, connect — or simply enjoy being somewhere else for a while.
Each of our three Signature Retreats has its own personality and takes you on a different journey. Some are quieter and more restorative, others more expressive and energising, but they share the same Barn approach: thoughtfully designed experiences, small groups, beautiful surroundings, nourishing food and plenty of space in the day.
These aren't days packed with activities for the sake of keeping you busy. Every element has a purpose, while leaving enough room for you to experience the day at your own pace.
Choose the experience that feels right for you.

Slow down. Understand. Reset.
A restorative retreat exploring stress, rest and the space we need to feel more like ourselves.

Flow. Ignite. Open. Be.
A grounding, sensory and creative journey through Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.

Awaken. Express. Play. Release.
An energising, playful retreat designed to get you out of your head, beyond your usual routines and back into feeling alive.

The Space Between is our most restorative Signature Retreat — a day created for anyone who feels they could use a little more space in their life.
We begin by slowing everything down, using meditation, breathwork and sound to help you settle into the day. From there, we explore the science of stress and rest, helping you understand what happens in the body and mind when life becomes demanding and what genuinely supports recovery.
Alongside the learning, there is time for restorative practices, self-myofascial release, reflection, mindful creativity and simply doing very little.
You'll leave having had a day of genuine rest, but also with a better understanding of how to create more of it when you return to everyday life.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The Space Between follows a carefully considered journey through the day, moving from slowing down and settling, through understanding and practical learning, before finishing with reflection and time to bring everything together.
9:30am | ARRIVE & SETTLE
We'll welcome you to The Barn with drinks and something light to eat, giving you time to arrive, meet the group and settle into the space.
We'll begin the day slowly with guided meditation, breathwork and an immersive sound bath — leaving the outside world behind and creating some space to simply stop.
Late morning | LEARN & EXPLORE
Once we've slowed the pace, we'll begin exploring the science of stress, rest and recovery.
Through relaxed discussion and guided exercises, we'll look at how the body and mind respond to the demands of everyday life and introduce practical ways to support your wellbeing.
We'll also explore self-myofascial release techniques to help ease physical tension and encourage relaxation.
Lunch | PAUSE & REFUEL
We'll stop for a nourishing seasonal lunch, with plenty of time to eat, chat, head outside or simply enjoy some quiet time.
Refreshments are available throughout the day, so there's always time for tea, coffee and a pause when you need one.
Afternoon | REFLECT & INTEGRATE
The afternoon becomes quieter and more reflective.
Through mindful creativity and guided journalling, you'll have time to consider what you've discovered during the day and begin translating it into small, realistic changes that can travel home with you.
4:30pm | HEAD HOME
We'll bring the day to a relaxed close, giving you time to gather your things, ask any final questions and leave without feeling rushed.
Everything you need for the day is provided, including lunch, refreshments, activities and materials. And while we've created a thoughtful structure for the retreat, nothing is compulsory — you're always welcome to take a break or experience the day at your own pace.
IDEAL IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR:
Rest • Understanding • Reflection • Space • A reset

The Elements is a grounding, sensory and creative retreat inspired by Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.
Across the day we'll move through five different experiences, each inviting you to explore wellbeing in a different way.
Earth brings us back to the senses and the natural world. Water explores flow and letting go. Fire introduces energy, warmth and creativity. Air creates space for breath, movement and connection. And Space brings everything back together, with time simply to be.
Expect a varied day of nature, movement, creativity, sensory experiences and moments of stillness — with plenty of room to participate in your own way.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The Elements unfolds through five different experiences — Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space — each exploring a different way to slow down, reconnect and experience wellbeing.
9:30am | ARRIVE & EARTH
We'll welcome you to The Barn with drinks and something light to eat before beginning with Earth.
This first part of the day is about arriving, grounding and reconnecting with your senses. Through nature, sensory experiences and time outdoors, we'll leave the rush of the outside world behind and settle into the day.
Late morning | WATER
From grounding, we move into flow.
Water invites us to explore movement, adaptability and letting go through reflective and sensory activities, with space to notice what happens when we stop trying to hold everything quite so tightly.
Midday | FIRE
Fire brings warmth, energy and creativity into the day.
We'll explore creative and sensory experiences before gathering around the table for a nourishing seasonal lunch — a chance to eat, talk, connect and simply enjoy being together.
Refreshments are available throughout the retreat, with plenty of opportunities to pause whenever you need one.
Early afternoon | AIR
After lunch, Air creates space.
Through breath, movement and connection, we'll explore what it feels like to open things up a little — physically and mentally — with activities designed to leave you feeling lighter and more spacious.
Afternoon | SPACE
Our final element is deliberately the simplest.
Space is about bringing the day together without filling every remaining moment. There'll be time for quiet reflection, mindful creativity and simply being before we gradually bring the retreat to a close.
4:30pm | HEAD HOME
We'll finish the day slowly, leaving time to reflect, gather your things and head back into the world without being rushed out of the door.
Everything you need is provided, including lunch, refreshments, activities and materials. You don't need to be creative, outdoorsy, flexible or experienced in anything we do — and you're always free to sit something out, take a break or experience each element in the way that works for you.
IDEAL IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR:
Grounding • Creativity • Nature • Connection • Exploration

Wild & Free is the most energetic of our Signature Retreats — created for those times when you want to get out of your head, shake off the routine and remember how good it feels to be fully involved in life.
The day moves through a series of playful, expressive experiences designed to build energy, confidence and connection before gradually bringing you back down to earth.
You might move, make noise, create, laugh, experiment, try something unexpected or discover a side of yourself that doesn't get much room in everyday life.
Nothing requires you to perform and there is no right way to do any of it. This is about curiosity rather than ability, with plenty of permission to join in at the level that feels right for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Wild & Free takes you on a journey from arriving exactly as you are, through movement, expression, creativity and play, before gradually bringing the energy back down and returning to stillness.
9:30am | ARRIVE
We'll welcome you to The Barn with drinks and something light to eat, giving everyone time to arrive, meet the group and settle in.
We'll start simply — creating a relaxed space, leaving expectations at the door and easing into the day together.
Morning | AWAKEN & COURAGE
Then we begin to turn up the energy.
Through movement, music and playful exercises, we'll start getting out of our heads and into our bodies, exploring what happens when we become a little less self-conscious and a little more willing to try.
Nothing is about performing or getting it right. This is a space for curiosity, experimentation and perhaps doing something you wouldn't normally do.
Late morning | EXPRESS
As the morning builds, we'll explore different forms of expression through creative, physical and interactive experiences.
There'll be opportunities to make some noise, take up some space, connect with other people and express yourself without needing it to look polished or purposeful.
LUNCH | EAT & CONNECT
We'll pause for a nourishing seasonal lunch, with time to chat, head outside, find a quiet corner or simply enjoy doing nothing for a while.
Refreshments are available throughout the day and there is always space to take a break whenever you want one.
Afternoon | PLAY & RELEASE
After lunch, we're giving grown-ups permission to play.
Expect activities designed around curiosity, laughter, movement and connection — followed by experiences that help us let go of some of the tension, inhibition and seriousness we can accumulate in everyday life.
Late afternoon | GROUND
After all that energy, we bring things back down.
The final part of the retreat is quieter, giving you time to slow your breathing, settle your body and reflect on the day before returning to the outside world.
4:30pm | HEAD HOME
We'll finish without rushing, leaving time to gather your things and gradually transition out of the day.
Everything you need is provided, including lunch, refreshments, activities and materials. You don't need to be confident, outgoing, creative or good at anything we're doing. You can join in as much or as little as feels right — Wild & Free is about dropping some of the usual rules, not replacing them with new ones.
IDEAL IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR:
Energy • Confidence • Expression • Play • Connection

Our Signature Retreats are deliberately small, relaxed and fully hosted and you don't need any previous experience to join us. Everything you need for the day is provided, and there is never an expectation to take part in every activity.
There will be time to pause, wander outside, sit quietly, have a cup of tea or simply take a moment whenever you need one.
Throughout the day we'll also keep you well fed, with refreshments and a nourishing shared lunch included.
Come alone or come with someone you know. Either way, we'll look after you from the moment you arrive.
Our Signature Wellbeing Retreats are created and hosted by Kate Robbins and Gemma Sizer, bringing together complementary approaches to wellbeing.
Gemma is a Holistic Wellbeing Specialist whose work draws on movement, breath, mindfulness, relaxation and therapeutic approaches.
Kate is an author, health coach and wellbeing educator with a particular interest in psychology, stress, behaviour and sustainable change.
Together, we combine evidence-informed learning with practical experience, rest, creativity and space — because wellbeing isn't just about understanding what might help. It's about having the opportunity to experience it.
Please reach us at info@thebarnretreats.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Not at all. Our Signature Wellbeing Retreats are designed to be accessible whether this is your first ever retreat or something you do regularly.
Everything will be explained and guided on the day, and there is no expectation that you already know how to do yoga, meditate, journal, be creative or take part in any of the other activities we explore.
Absolutely — lots of our guests do.
We keep our groups small and the days are fully hosted, so you won't be left wondering where to go or what you're supposed to be doing. There's also no pressure to socialise if you'd prefer some quieter time.
No. Everything we offer is an invitation, not an obligation.
You're welcome to sit something out, adapt an activity, take a break, head outside or simply have some quiet time whenever you need it.
Comfortable clothes that you can relax and move around in are perfect.
Some activities may take place outside when the weather allows, so we'd recommend bringing suitable shoes and an extra layer. We'll let you know before your retreat if there's anything specific you'll need.
Very little.
We provide everything needed for the activities, along with lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Bring a water bottle if you'd like one and anything personal that will help you feel comfortable.
Yes. A nourishing seasonal lunch, snacks and refreshments are included in your retreat.
If you have allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements, please let us know when you book so we can plan for you.
We’re based in the Warwickshire countryside, around 25 minutes from Stratford-upon-Avon and Banbury, and just over an hour from Oxford, Cheltenham and Birmingham.
We want our retreats to be as accessible and inclusive as possible.
If you have a physical, sensory or cognitive need, health condition, injury or anything else that might affect your participation, please contact us before attending. We can talk through the day with you and discuss any adjustments that may help.
There is no expectation to participate in every activity and we will always do our best to accommodate individual needs wherever we can.
Not at all. These aren't fitness retreats.
Any movement is designed to be accessible and adaptable, and you're always welcome to participate at your own pace or choose not to take part.
That's completely understandable — and you won't be expected to suddenly perform in front of a room full of strangers!
Wild & Free gradually builds through the day. Activities are guided, there are always choices about how you participate, and nothing is about being good at dancing, performing or being the loudest person in the room.
We deliberately keep our Signature Retreats small, with a maximum of 12 guests.
This gives us enough people to create a shared experience while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and personal.
Our Signature Wellbeing Retreats usually run from 9:30am until 4:30pm.
You'll receive full arrival information before your retreat, including anything you need to know about the particular day you've booked.
Each Signature Wellbeing Retreat is £98.95 per person.
Your day includes all activities and materials, lunch, snacks and refreshments, so there are no additional costs for taking part in the retreat.
Signature Retreat bookings are non-refundable.
If you give us at least 48 hours' notice, we can transfer your booking to another available date or issue a voucher for the value of your booking.
Please see our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details.
