A gentle introduction to The Barn
If you're curious about The Barn but haven’t visited yet, Slow Sunday is the perfect place to start.
Designed as a relaxed introduction to the space, this calm afternoon gives you the chance to experience The Barn without committing to a full retreat day.
We’ll begin with restorative yoga, a slow, supported practice designed to release tension and allow the body to fully relax. This session is suitable for all fitness levels and experience so you'll never feel out your depth.
Afterwards you’ll settle under blankets for an immersive sound bath, letting the vibrations of the bowls guide the mind into a deeply restful state.
We’ll then gather around the table for a locally sourced, seasonal shared lunch with fresh juices, giving you time to chat, unwind, and simply enjoy the peaceful countryside setting.
There’s no pressure, no experience needed, and everything is gently guided. Many guests come on their own, others bring a friend.
It’s simply a chance to step away from the busyness of the week and come and experience what's on offer at The Barn.

Celebrate the beauty of nature in this relaxed and creative workshop, where you'll make your own beautiful clay leaf wall hanging using real leaves collected from the outdoors.
Together you'll press natural leaves into air-dry clay to capture every vein and detail, before choosing from a selection of colours and adding wooden beads and twine to create a unique piece of artwork to take home.
This is a fun, hands-on workshop designed to encourage creativity while helping children connect with nature through making. No previous experience is needed, and we'll guide you through every step.

A deeply nourishing 3-hour workshop blending yoga, breathwork and meditation, inspired by traditional tantric practices.
This is a gentle, grounded space to slow down, reconnect and become more aware of your body, breath and inner energy. Tantra in this sense is not about sexuality, but about presence, awareness and feeling more at home within yourself.

Burnout often develops after long periods of stress and can leave you feeling constantly tired, mentally foggy, overwhelmed or emotionally drained. This one-day retreat offers a calm space to step back, understand what burnout is and explore practical ways to begin rebuilding your energy.
Throughout the day we will look at the science behind burnout, the impact of prolonged stress on the nervous system, and simple strategies that can support recovery. The day combines guided discussion, reflective workbook exercises and gentle restorative practices. We finish with a deeply relaxing meditation to help the body settle and integrate the day.
Each guest receives a printed workbook to take home.

Learn how the nervous system responds to stress, discover gentle breathing and grounding techniques, and understand how thought patterns contribute to worry and health anxiety.

This half-day Emotional Resilience Retreat focuses on understanding how we respond when life feels demanding and uncomfortable, and how to stay grounded, clear, and connected in challenging moments.
Using insights from psychology and nervous-system science, the session explores emotional regulation, boundary awareness, assertive communication, people pleasing, handing criticism and conflict management alongside practical strategies for supporting mental and emotional load at home, at work, and in relationships.

Using air-dry clay, you'll create a selection of festive decorations inspired by the natural simplicity of Scandinavian Christmas décor. Choose from a variety of Christmas-themed cutters, stamps and textures before decorating your creations with festive colours, twine and optional embellishments to make them uniquely yours.
This fun, hands-on workshop is suitable for all abilities and is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative and enjoy some festive time together. A half-day retreat designed for those navigating life after loss. This gentle, structured day focuses on the transitional stage of grief, when the initial shock has passed but moving forward still feels difficult. We explore the science of grief, common thought patterns, and the challenges that often arise, including guilt, feeling stuck, and difficulty letting go.
The day includes guided reflection, solution-focused discussion, gentle movement and a quiet candle-lighting close.
