Welcome To The Space Between

We are delighted to introduce The Space Between, our first full-day immersive retreat.


Over the past few years, we've welcomed hundreds of people through our doors, each bringing their own story. Some have been living with chronic illness and debilitating fatigue, others have been navigating burnout, anxiety or significant life changes, while many have simply felt overwhelmed by the relentless pace of modern life or wanted the opportunity to rest. Although everyone's circumstances have been different, the questions we've been asked and the stories we've heard have revealed common themes that have shaped and inspired this new experience.


The Space Between has been created from these themes, drawing on years of experience, evidence-informed practice and the knowledge we've gained supporting people every day.


This isn't simply a day to unwind. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in rest, better understand your body and mind, and discover ways to create more space, calm and balance in everyday life. Every part of the day has been chosen with purpose, guiding you through a carefully curated experience that doesn't end when you leave The Barn, but continues to influence the way you care for yourself long afterwards.

What To Expect

| Your Journey |

The Space Between follows a carefully curated journey designed to help you slow down, deepen your understanding of stress and rest, and carry that feeling and understanding into your everyday .Rather than simply offering a collection of wellbeing activities, each part of the day has been chosen with purpose, gently building on the last to create an experience that lasts.


| Settle |

Your day begins by leaving the outside world behind. Through guided meditation, gentle breathwork and an immersive sound bath, you'll have the opportunity to slow your pace, settle your nervous system and come to rest.

| Learn |

With your mind quieter and your body more at ease, we'll explore the science of stress and rest through guided exercises, helping you to better understand how your body and mind respond to the demands of everyday life. You'll discover practical ways to support your wellbeing, alongside self myofascial release techniques to ease physical tension and encourage relaxation in both body and mind.


| Integrate |

The final part of the day is about taking what you've experienced forward. Through mindful crafting and guided journalling, you'll have time to reflect, create a keepsake and begin turning the day's learning into simple habits that can support your wellbeing long after the retreat has ended.

Throughout the day, you'll enjoy delicious refreshments, a nourishing lunch and plenty of time to simply breathe.

The Space Between has been designed for anyone looking to create a little more space in their life. You don't have to be living with burnout, anxiety or a long-term health condition, although the day will support you if you are. All that's needed is a desire to slow down, rest and give yourself the time and space to simply be.

Your Hosts

The Space Between is led by Gemma Sizer and Kate Robbins, bringing together two complementary approaches to wellbeing that combine practical experience with evidence-informed education.


| Gemma |


Gemma Sizer is a Holistic Wellbeing Specialist with extensive experience supporting people through stress, burnout, chronic pain and emotional wellbeing. Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, she creates calm, welcoming spaces where people can slow down, release tension and experience the restorative benefits of movement, breath, mindfulness and deep relaxation.


| Kate |

Kate Robbins is an author, health coach and wellness educator with a particular interest in the science of stress, the nervous system and sustainable behaviour change. Throughout the day, she'll help you understand why your body and mind respond the way they do, translating complex ideas into practical, evidence-informed strategies that you can apply in everyday life.

Together, Gemma and Kate combine practical experience with scientific understanding, helping you to understand not only how to slow down, but why it matters.

We're also offering the option to add a bespoke 45-minute massage or facial treatment with one of our experienced therapists. Each treatment is tailored to your specific requirements and will incorporate techniques from Swedish massage to Sports Massage to ensure you receive exactly what you need.

Although The Space Between has not been designed specifically for any one physical or mental health condition, it has been created to support anyone looking to slow down, rest and develop a better understanding of stress, rest and wellbeing.


We warmly welcome all guests and are committed to making the retreat as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you have any physical, sensory or cognitive needs, or if there are any adjustments that would help you participate more comfortably, please let us know when booking or contact us before the day. We will always do our best to accommodate individual needs wherever we can.


Throughout the retreat, there is no expectation to take part in every activity. You're welcome to move around, take a break, spend time outdoors or simply sit quietly whenever you need. This is your day, and we encourage you to experience it in the way that feels right for you.
